This international course is designed specifically for clinical dental professionals to enhance the knowledge and skills required to work with a leading manufacturer in the field of composite technology. Overview

As a structured programme, this course will provide comprehensive hands-on training, focusing on how to achieve optimum results using highly efficient equipment. Guiding you through the science behind Empress Direct, our experienced tutors will provide you with knowledge you need to combine this innovative composite with adhesives such as the easy to use single component Adhese One F.

In just a short space of time, you will understand how to use the prize winning high performance cordless Bluephase curing lights in conjunction with easy to use patient friendly accessories such as the highly rated Optra gate and the anatomically shaped OptraDam.

This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and understanding to confidently apply techniques learnt in conjunction with advanced materials to promote aesthetics and function in clinical dentistry.   

Aims & Objectives

  • Clarify the factors that influence success and failure of composite restorations
  • Be familiar with how the structure of dental tissues can influence the success and failure of composite restorations
  • Recognise how techniques need to be adapted to maximise the success of composite restorations
  • Understand how the properties of dental materials can be used to optimise composite restorations
  • Observe demonstrations of how materials and techniques can be used to optimise composite for aesthetics and function
  • Gain practical experience in the techniques of freehand composite layering to achieve aesthetic anterior composite restoration
  • Gain practical experience in methods of optimising posterior composite placement to achieve aesthetic and functional restorations
